These terms govern your use of the HushMask browser extension, website and license service (together, “HushMask”), provided by HushMask (“we”, “us”). By installing HushMask or buying a license you agree to them.

1. What HushMask is

HushMask changes how web pages look in your own browser so that selected information is covered while you share your screen or record. It is a presentation aid, not a security product. The covered information is still present in the page and on the website’s servers; HushMask does not remove, encrypt or protect it. Masks may fail to apply, for example when a website changes its layout, on content HushMask cannot reach (see the list on our website), or for a brief moment while a page loads. You remain responsible for checking what is visible before and while you share.

2. Free version

You may use the free version at no cost, subject to the limits described on our website. We may change free features in future versions.

3. HushMask Pro

• Pro is sold as a one-time purchase of a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Pro features of the HushMask browser extension.
• One license may be active on up to 3 browser installations at a time. You can free installations yourself as described on our Help page.
• The license includes updates to the browser extension that we publish. It does not include other or future products, such as desktop applications or separately sold services.
• Licenses are for the purchaser’s own use. Do not share, resell or publish your key. We may suspend keys that show signs of sharing or abuse, and will contact the purchaser first where practical.
• Prices are shown in US dollars. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on your location. Payments are processed by Stripe.

4. Refunds

You can get a full refund within 30 days of purchase. See our Refund Policy. Refunded or charged-back licenses stop working for Pro features; masks you have already saved keep working within the free version’s limits.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use HushMask to deceive people about what information is shown to them, to break the law, or to interfere with websites. Do not reverse engineer the license system, or attempt to bypass license limits.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the licensing service available, but it may be interrupted. Pro keeps working offline for up to 90 days between checks. Saved masks never depend on our servers.

7. Intellectual property

HushMask, its code, name and logo belong to us. These terms do not grant you any rights except the license described above. Third-party trademarks mentioned on the website belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

8. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, HushMask is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including any warranty that it will hide every piece of information on every website at every moment.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, including losses caused by information that was visible during screen sharing or in a recording. Our total liability for any claim relating to HushMask is limited to the amount you paid us for HushMask in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it. You may stop using HushMask at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate a license that is used in breach of these terms.
